  • Doctors of Rahman Conducts Scoping Mission in Afghanistan

Kabul, Afghanistan — 26th sept 2025— Doctors of Rahman has completed a scoping exercise in Afghanistan to assess the current healthcare landscape and identify areas for medical collaboration and capacity-building.

The mission was led by Dr Yousufuddin Shaikh, Founder of Doctors of Rahman, who travelled to Afghanistan to conduct a comprehensive review of the country’s medical infrastructure and the challenges faced by local healthcare institutions. During the visit, Dr Shaikh met with officials from the Ministry of Public Health and key stakeholders in the Afghan medical sector to explore opportunities for partnership and sustainable healthcare support.

The findings from this mission will inform future Doctors of Rahman initiatives in Afghanistan, focusing on medical training, infrastructure development, and resource support for hospitals and clinics.

“Our goal is to understand the realities on the ground and develop practical, long-term solutions that strengthen healthcare systems in regions affected by instability,” said Dr Yousufuddin Shaikh. “The resilience and dedication of Afghan medical professionals are remarkable, and we aim to work alongside them to rebuild and enhance healthcare delivery.”

Doctors of Rahman remains committed to its mission of providing medical aid, education, and sustainable healthcare development across the globe.

Under our Global Health Outreach for Peace and Education (GHOPE) program, we support over 350 displaced medical and dental students affected by war and genocide.
Through scholarships, mentoring, and academic partnerships, Doctors of Rahman and MIAT are enabling these students to complete their education and rebuild the healthcare systems of their nations.
We believe that empowering future doctors is one of the most sustainable ways to heal communities torn by conflict.
