  • Meeting with Ambassador of Sudan

Today, we gathered at the Sudanese Embassy in the United Kingdom to bid farewell to the “Doctors of Rahman” Medical Convoy, which will be heading to Merowe, Northern State, Sudan on November 7th.
The event was attended by His Excellency the Ambassador, the Military Attaché, and the Consul, alongside the Chairman of Salamat Medical Charity, the Trustees’ Secretary, and the General Secretary of Doctors of Al-Rahman, as well as representatives of other charitable organisations; HiHFAD, Help Yateem, and Global Relief Trust, in a humanitarian initiative aimed at supporting medical and relief efforts in Sudan.
These organisations have previous experience in Gaza, Syria, Pakistan and other crisis-affected areas.

The gathering was filled with pride and hope, as we witnessed how members of the Sudanese, Arab and wider Muslim communities stand united, hand in hand, to alleviate suffering and enhance the healthcare situation despite the country’s many challenges and conflicts.

During the visit to Merowe, some team-members of Doctors of Al-Rahman will also visit Khartoum to assess the needs in the capital, with a second mission planned for April 2026, and a sincere intention to collaborate with Salamat Medical Charity.

The convoy consists of 12 doctors, including two orthopaedic surgeons, carrying 500 kilograms of medical supplies, including diagnostic kits for dengue fever and other diagnostic and surgical equipment. The team includes six doctors from the UK, with the remainder from Europe, the USA and India.

May Allah bless and reward all the dedicated doctors and volunteers for this noble humanitarian endeavour. We pray for their success, safety, and abundant reward for their service to the people of Sudan and to the Muslim Ummah.
We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Ambassador and the staff of the Sudanese Embassy for organising this meaningful gathering and for their warm hospitality.

May this mission bring healing, hope and light to our beloved Sudan.

Medical and Dental Student Support (GHOPE Initiative)

Under our Global Health Outreach for Peace and Education (GHOPE) program, we support over 350 displaced medical and dental students affected by war and genocide.
Through scholarships, mentoring, and academic partnerships, Doctors of Rahman and MIAT are enabling these students to complete their education and rebuild the healthcare systems of their nations.
We believe that empowering future doctors is one of the most sustainable ways to heal communities torn by conflict.
