Sudan Oxygen Plant Project

As part of the UK team of Doctors of Rahman, we recently served in Sudan and have been working on a critical healthcare initiative: the establishment of a medical oxygen plant at Kareema Hospital, Sudan, in a post-war setting where access to oxygen remains a life-saving necessity.
Recently, we held detailed discussions with Turkish and Chinese companies. The Turkish company conducted a ground survey and site inspection through their engineer and has provided a comprehensive technical and financial assessment. Based on this evaluation, the estimated cost for procurement, installation, pipeline infrastructure, logistics, and full operational setup is approximately USD 250,000.
This oxygen plant will serve Kareema Hospital and has the capacity to support approximately 50 regional healthcare centres within an estimated 65 km radius, effectively forming a regional oxygen supply network. Based on healthcare coverage and population distribution, this project has the potential to benefit up to 1,000,000 people, including residents of Kareema town, surrounding villages, rural communities, referral centres, and displaced populations who depend on these facilities.

Medical and Dental Student Support (GHOPE Initiative)

Under our Global Health Outreach for Peace and Education (GHOPE) program, we support over 350 displaced medical and dental students affected by war and genocide.
Through scholarships, mentoring, and academic partnerships, Doctors of Rahman and MIAT are enabling these students to complete their education and rebuild the healthcare systems of their nations.
We believe that empowering future doctors is one of the most sustainable ways to heal communities torn by conflict.
