No. We rely on people from all kinds of backgrounds. Whether you are a medic, a student, or someone with skills in admin, media, logistics or tech, there is a role for you.
In some cases, yes. Where possible, we support our volunteers with flights, accommodation or daily expenses. In other cases, particularly during urgent missions, volunteers may need to self-fund. Each application is reviewed individually.
That’s not a problem. Many of our roles can be done from home, including mentoring students, designing educational content, providing technical support or helping with admin and outreach. Remote volunteers are a vital part of our work.
If you’ve taken part in a deployment or supported our work remotely and have media to share, we’d love to see it. Please get in touch with our team and we’ll provide you with a secure SharePoint upload link. You can email oscar.v@dor.uk.com and we’ll guide you through the process.
Under our Global Health Outreach for Peace and Education (GHOPE) program, we support over 350 displaced medical and dental students affected by war and genocide.
Through scholarships, mentoring, and academic partnerships, Doctors of Rahman and MIAT are enabling these students to complete their education and rebuild the healthcare systems of their nations.
We believe that empowering future doctors is one of the most sustainable ways to heal communities torn by conflict.
